Team clean up on Scafell Pike

STAFF from Kendal recruitment agency Adecco carried out a litter pick on England’s highest mountain.
The team taking part in the clean-up of Scafell Pike were responding to a recent report on BBC’s One Show which highlighted the build-up of rubbish on the popular fell top.
In one hour they filled four bags of mixed litter and rubbish – the bags and litter sticks were supplied by the Lake District National Park Authority.
“We just hope that the message got across to many that day who might have twigged about keeping our countryside and mountaintops clean for the enjoyment of all,” said Richard Warren, leader of the Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team.
“Remember to leave nothing but light footprints when going out on the fells.”
