A BUSINESSMAN has decided to spread the Olympic message through his home town with a daily run which will raise money for a good cause.
Tim Balchin, who runs Ulverston Gallery, in Upper Brook Street, Ulverston, hopes people will join him and make a donation to the restoration fund for Sir John Barrow Monument, which sits on top of Hoad Hill.
At 6pm every weekday and Sundays, Mr Balchin will set off from Market Cross and head up Hoad Hill, before returning down the other side, along Soutergate, and back to Market Cross. On Saturdays, the run will begin at midday.
