Popular farming show cancelled

A MAJOR agricultural show in South Cumbria has been cancelled due to the recent weather.
Millom and Broughton Show was due to take place on Saturday, but organisers met on the site at West Park last night (Wednesday) and reluctantly decided it could not go ahead.
Secretary Rachel Jopson said: "Because of all the wet weather we have had, the ground is absolutely waterlogged. You couldn't even pitch a tent."
