Stan Laurel ready to come home

THE revamp of the heart of Ulverston town centre will take place in January.
County Square is set to undergo a major transformation, with new paving, road layout and a statue of the town's favourite son, Stan Laurel, and his comedy partner Oliver Hardy.
An exhibition of the plans for County Square will be in the Coronation Hall anti-room begins on Wednesday from 3pm to 6.30pm, and will remain until October 31.
