A MAN was flown to hospital after suffering a heart attack at a Lake District doctors' surgery.
The Great North Air Ambulance airlifted the casualty, thought to be aged in his fifties, from the health centre in Windermere at 2pm on Monday.
He was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle in the charity's Pride of Cumbria helicopter where his condition was described as stable on arrival.
The man was struck with chest pains at the clinic and the aircraft was called in to provide advanced care and rapid transport to get him specialist support quickly.
