A HOTPOT and Quiz Night is being held in the Parish Centre in Kendal next week aimed at raising money to help people living in a refugee settlement in Bosnia.
The event has been organised by the parishioners of Holy Trinity & St George Catholic Church, who for having being doing what they can to help the Hodovo community since 2003, after being shocked to discover the terrible living conditions in the camp.
Since then the church has raised money to help with building work, water supplies and fuel bills, as well as setting up small allotments so that people can grow food.
The Hodovo project also experienced a major triumph at the beginning of the year when, thanks to the generosity of local people, work was able to start on a village bakery.
The quiz night will be held on April 26 at 7pm and tickets are priced at £5, with teams of four preferred.
