CONCERNS over a model pirates ship in a new playground in Kendal were addressed at a town council meeting tonight (April 21).
As part of a discussion arising from the Mayor, Coun Gwen Murfin's, correspondence, councillors were informed that many residents living near the new playground opposite Castle Circle in Kendal Nether ward were worried about the size and location of the pirate ship.
Coun Clare Feeney-Johnson, who represents the ward, said that she had also been made aware of the concerns and that she had met with officers today and that they had agreed to move the pirate ship.
