Kendal charity collection tops £1,000

A STREET collection held by the South Lakes Society for the Blind in Kendal last month raised more than £1,000. The money donated on April 19, which totalled £1,043.50, will be used to provide practical help and support through the charity's Sight Advice Centre at Stricklandgate House in Kendal. It will also help provide social and leisure activities for people with sight problems. To find out more about SLSB telephone 01539-742633.
