GREEN campaigner Edward Acland is blogging again on this website.
Edward, who lives at Burneside, begins his latest blog entry in a rather downbeat mood, stating; "I often feel that all of our efforts to promote a so-called sustainable future' are merely tokenism compared to the reality and scale of the actual dilemma posed by our over consumptive and exploitative way of life."
But he goes on to praise the minority of informed, aware people' who are promoting such initiatives as Transition Towns.
And he ends with a controversial comment that he can't wait for the oil to run dry' - as this will cause people to get involved in long-term forward planning to help our sick and wounded planet'.
