MOUNTAIN rescuers searching for a missing man from Stoke have found a body in the Lake District.

Patterdale mountain rescue team were called to rescue a man who was celebrating his 75th birthday on Helvellyn on Tuesday 19th August. The man from Nottingham slipped and injured his hip. He was unable to walk and passing walkers and family helped him to the summit shelter.
