A POSTMAN has retired from his scenic round after 20 years - but his world-wide fans can be reassured that his striking Lakeland images will continue to appear on his website.
Tony Richards, who finished deliveries to his Little Langdale round at the weekend, has no plans to wind up his Lakeland Cam website, where he posts fresh photographs every day of the stunning countryside around him.
The website, which he has been running for around a decade, attracts devotees from countries across the globe, including the USA, Australia, France, Canada, Poland, and the UK. His international following is evident from the messages left in his guestbook.
In fact, he gets around 30,000 hits on his site every week, and at one stage last year Lakeland Cam was ranked the 400th most popular site in Britain.
