Girls taken to hospital following crash

TWO girls had to be taken to hospital following a collision between two cars on a Kendal road.

The incident occurred on Appleby Road, Kendal at around 8.30am today (Wednesday) and involved a Ford Fiesta, which was being driven by a 38-year-old man from Kendal, and Citroen Xantia which was being driven by a36-year-old man from Tebay.

As a result of the collision two girls aged eight and 16, were taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary for treatment for minor injuries.
