THERE were long delays on the M6 in Lancashire tonight after a collision which is believed to involve at least two vehicles.

Emergency services were called to the interchange of the M6 and M55 after a crash was reported at around 6pm on the northbound carriageway.

Police put in place a rolling roadblock to divert traffic around the scene and fire crews and ambulances were at the scene.

Motorists were affected as far back as junction 31 at Samlesbury and people were advised to avoid the area.
