SUPERFAST broadband in Lancashire has 97 per cent coverage and is beating the national target, says Lancashire County Council.
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport said this week that its target of making superfast broadband available to 95 per cent of the country had been met.
Lancashire has already surpassed the national average with around 746,000 households and businesses having access to speeds of 24Mbps and above, thanks to commercial companies like Openreach and Virgin and smaller community-led ventures like B4RN.
