Hornby swimming pool
HELPERS are being sought to spruce up Hornby swimming pool before its hoped-for Easter 2018 reopening.
The volunteers of the Lune Valley Community Society are looking for people to clean, paint and make hot drinks and cakes, between March 17 and 31. Materials will be provided.
The society is on the cusp of taking over the 40-year-old, 15-metre pool once a business case has been finalised with Lancashire County Council. The Melling Road leisure building has been mothballed for almost a year after closing due to budget cuts.
