A LONG-standing friend of the Rosemere Cancer Foundation has become its new chairman.
Grandfather-of-two Peter Mileham OBE is a Deputy Lieutenant of Lancashire and a retired businessman. He sadly lost his beloved wife Shelagh to cancer last year. She had been a patient at the Rosemere Cancer Centre in Preston, where patients from South Lakeland and north Lancashire are treated.
It was Mr Mileham, of Preston, who first coined the name Rosemere 20 years ago by combining the red rose of Lancashire with the mere (lakes) of the Lake District.
