CARNFORTH Town Council is taking steps to fill a vacancy among its ranks.
At the council's recent meeting, members heard they could agree to co-opt a new councillor to join them at their monthly meetings.
Before going ahead, the council is to place an advert on its noticeboards inviting anyone to petition for an election to appoint a 12th councillor.
