DAY-TRIPPERS and steam fans will have treat on Thursday when historic locomotive will help take passengers from Blackburn to Scarbrough.
British India Line, a restored Merchant Navy class engine, is scheduled to pull 12 luxury vintage Pullman-style carriages into the North Yorkshire seaside resort.
British India Line will pull the ‘Scarborough Spa Express’ on the last leg of its journey from York and resort and back.
Fares from Blackburn start at £49, with children half price. Premier Dining tickers, which include a full English breakfast on the outward journey and a three-course dinner with coffee on the return leg, cost £210. The Scarborough Spa Express will run through Blackburn on various Wednesday and Thursdays.
