RIBBLE Valley MP Nigel Evans, has urged the Prime Minister to use the current Commonwealth summit in London to urge72 of its national leaders to repeal anti-gay legislation.
At Question Time in Parliament he asked Theresa May: “Too many Commonwealth countries have anti-gay legislation on their statute book.
"What message about gay rights does the Prime Minister have for Commonwealth leaders this week?"
Mrs May said:"You raise an important point. We have a special responsibility to help to change hearts and minds on such issues within the Commonwealth.
"We stand ready to support any Commonwealth member that wants to reform outdated legislation that makes such discrimination possible.”
