A MAN sought by police in connection with a stabbing has come forward.
Peter Bolton, 35, was wanted by police after a serious assault on Tuesday.
Police were called by the ambulance service at around 8pm after a stabbing in Lyndhurst Avenue, on the outskirts Blackburn.
Officers attended and found a 24-year-old man at the scene suffering a stab wound to his shoulder.
The victim was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for treatment.
A police spokesman said: "Bolton, of Gorse Street, Blackburn, came forward today and is assisting police with their enquiries. The investigation is on-going."
