PRO-BREXIT MP Nigel Evans has said he is 'suitably pleased' with Tuesday's compromise on giving the House of Commons a bigger say on the final deal to leave the European Union.
Prime Minister Theresa May promised Conservative MPs concerned about the terms of any withdrawal agreement there would be a 'meaningful vote' on the issue to head off a revolt .
Ribble Valley Tory backbencher Mr Evans said: “We can’t bind the Prime Minister’s hands during these negotiations, and I am confident we can secure a favourable deal from the EU to deliver the Brexit the electorate voted for.”
Burnley Labour MP Julie Cooper said: “Parliament should sort these important issues but Theresa May wants all the decisions entirely in the hands of her Cabinet."
Hyndburn Labour MP Graham Jones said: " It's a shambles and the UK is suffering."
