HUNDREDS of railway enthusiasts descended on Carnforth Station last weekend for a model railway exhibition.
The event drew steam fans from across the region as exhibitors from Carnforth, Morecambe and Heysham displayed their impressive model railway layouts.
Visitors were able to pick up a bargain from one of the many stalls selling second-hand models. Meanwhile, there was excitement as the Princess Elizabeth steam train rolled into the station to pick up water on its journey to Carlisle.
Services manager Robin Brogden said the event was a great success.
“A lot of people turned up. “We’ve managed to raise plenty of money for the station so we will definitely be doing it again next year.”
