Morecambe crash victim's family pays tribute to their shining star

THE family of a 19-year-old motorcyclist who died following a collision with a camper van have said they were blessed with a shining star.

Thomas Gudgeon, of Morecambe, died on the A6070, at Twetfield, near Carnforth, on Sunday, September 6.

Thomas was the youngest son of Andrew and Catherine Gudgeon, who said he was a shining star who would be forever in their hearts.

They said: “Tom was blessed with love and affection from all around him. So loving, so affectionate, caring and kind. It’s fair to say that tom loved life, and yes it was lived to the full even if sometimes on the edge. He loved life in every way and grasped every moment to do the things he wanted to do.

“Touching the hearts of everyone he knew, his infectious fun loving nature has left an ever lasting impression on all who knew him.

"He brought sunshine into all our lives, even on the darkest days.

"His laughter, stupid faces, noises and joking will always live on.

"We laughed and cried together, we all loved him so much. Tom knew that.”

They added: “You will have all the things you ever dreamed of and one day we will share those dreams together. Keep everyone smiling tom, laughing and joking. Keep the party going.”
