FIFTY police officers stormed a pub in Carnforth and arrested several people as part of a crackdown on drug crime in Lancashire.
Officers, including support unit teams and dog patrols, carried out searches at the Carnforth Hotel in the town on Friday, following concerns from the public, and found small quantities of amphetamine and cannabis.
Five people were arrested as part of Operation Converge.
Two men, aged 57 and 25, from Carnforth, arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B controlled drug, received adult cautions.
A 28-year-old man, from Carnforth, arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B and class A controlled drug, also received an adult caution.
A 57-year-old woman, from the town, arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B controlled drug, was released without charge.
And a 54-year-old man, also from Carnforth, arrested on suspicion of possession of an indecent photograph, was bailed pending further inquiries.
Chief inspector Matt Horn said: “Our communities do not want to tolerate drugs being sold and used in their pubs.”
