£100,000 winning health lottery ticket bought in Carnforth

A WOMAN from Bolton-le-Sands struck gold and scooped £100,000 after playing the new health lottery.

The 63-year-old matched five numbers to become the first top prize winner of the lottery - which aims to generate £50M in new money for health related good causes in the next 12 months.

She picked the winning numbers 04, 07, 35, 36, 46 on Saturday night and plans to treat her family with the winnings.

The winner, who has not been named, has a sister with multiple sclerosis.

She said: "I was keen to try a new lottery and for me one of the best reasons was that the money would benefit people and health causes.

"If The Health Lottery could potentially help people like my sister - I think it’s a fantastic initiative".
