VICTORIA Pine, in Fletcher Hill, Kirkby Stephen, was burgled by two thieves at 1.40pm on Sunday. The crooks entered the shop and while one of them went upstairs to distract the shop owners, his accomplice stole a cash box from downstairs. Both men made their escape in a silver Mitsubishi Shogun 4x4 vehicle. The first intruder has been described by police as white, in his 40s, around 5ft 10in tall, of stocky build and short, light- coloured hair. The second man is described as white, in his 40s, around 5ft 10in tall, of average build and was wearing a three-quarters length tan suede jacket.
