Defence Secretary Liam Fox cancels Barrow visit
UNDER-fire Defence Secretary Liam Fox has pulled out of a scheduled visit to Barrow shipyard tomorrow.
Dr Fox, whose political career looks uncertain amid allegations he gave his best friend access to the MoD, was due to attend the keel-laying of the new Astute submarine.
An MoD spokesman denied the visit was shelved because of the scandal, instead blaming ‘logistical problems’.
Gerald Howarth, Minister for International Security Strategy, will attend instead.
