Book and buses help fells

Comments (0)A LAKELAND-BASED walker, illustrator and writer has produced a guide book that will help preserve the fells.
Mark Richards has joined forces with Stagecoach Northwest to publish the charitable walking guide Great Mountain Days in the Lake District.
It details classic walks through Cumbria's fells and valleys, and is featured on the back of a new Stagecoach bus decorated to celebrate another great fell walker and former friend of Mr Richards, Alfred Wainwright.
The book, published by Cicerone, details 50 routes on the high fells of Lakeland with photos and artistic fell diagrams.
Great Mountain Days in the Lake District is published by Cicerone, and can be ordered online at www.cicerone.co.uk for £16.99.
