THE first Great Ingleton Easter Egg Hunt will get under way on Good Friday.
More than 250 eggs of all shapes, sizes and forms – and all hand-made by children of the school, locals and businesses – have been placed aroung the village.
The eggs have letters on them but some are missing, The idea is to write the missing letters down to make a word within an anagram.
Completed forms should be handed in to the tourist information centre to be entered into a prize draw.
Among the prizes is a Bibbys of Ingleton coach trip, cream tea at Country Harvest, midweek breaks at some of the village’s bed and breakfast establishments and meals for a family of four at The Wheatsheaf and The Masons Arms.
The egg hunt starts and finishes at Ingleton Tourist Infomation Centre and the competition runs until April 5.
A donation of £1 is required to enter. There is also a second more adventerous and challenging egg hunt for serious walkers covering the scenic views in the village.
