THE spirit of England could be seen and heard on the streets of Ingleton.

Around 200 beavers, cubs, scouts, explorers, parents and supporters turned out in force to attend the Ingleborough District St George’s Day Parade on Sunday.

Thanks to the co-operation of the owners of the Waterfalls Trail, the parade went around the car park before an open-air service was held at the entrance to the falls.

The parade was headed by the Kildwick and Farnhill Scout Band. Special guests included Carl Lis, chairman of Ingleton Scout Group and Ian Bardon, the County Commissioner.

A collection raised £200 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Clapham Cave Rescue Organisation.
