MEMBERS of the Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation attended two callouts in two days.

On Friday, they were called to help a caver who had become suspended and stuck fast while descending Long Kin East on Ingleborough.

As the team arrived at the pot entrance, the caver - a 55-year-old man - emerged, having managed to free himself.

And the team was back in action on Saturday, helping a 20-year-old woman who had collapsed on Crina Track, near the summit of Ingleborough, and was becoming hypothermic.

Two of the team’s casualty carers administered first aid and began warming the casualty, while other team members prepared for a stretcher carry.

She was then stretchered down towards Crina Bottom Farm to drop below the cloud base, so she could be airlifted to hospital by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
