Motorcyclist dies in crash near Long Preston
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a collision with a car near Long Preston on Saturday.
The 47-year-old man from Preston was riding a white Suzuki GSR 750 when he was in collision with a grey Toyota Yaris at just before 2pm on the A682 Hellifield road near to the junction of the A65. He was declared dead at the scene.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen either vehicle before the collision, and to the driver of a van, believed to be a Ford Transit Luton, who stopped at the time to get in touch.
