REVELLERS got into character to enjoy the ultimate of hoe-downs at Ingleton’s second Wild West Weekend.
Cowboy hats, holsters and six shooters filled the streets of the Dales town as people got into the spirit of adventure.
Line dancing lessons, chilli eating contest, an American Civil War re-enactment, a best dressed competition, panning for gold in a sandpit and a Western-style hoedown were all part of the mix.
And organiser John Ward, a member of the American Civil War Society, said the weekend went very well despite poor weather.
Nigel Wakefield, who runs The Craven Heifer Inn, said: “It was fun.
"It's good for the town to have events like this - it encourages everyone to get out and about."
