INGLETON Scout Group is appealing for help to secure funding to renovate its meeting hall.
To secure Natwest Community Force funding of £6,000 the project must get public support by receiving the highest amount of votes online.
The scouts are having problems with the acoustics in the hall and the group's leaders say there is a 'dreadful echoing' which picks up on even the ‘smallest of whispers’.
Businesses and groups no longer rent the hall, cutting a major source of funding for the scouts.
It is hoped to fix acoustic panels in the hall at a cost of £5,000.
But the self-funding group has no money in the pot to pay for the work and is hoping to secure cash from the national bank which supports community group projects.
