The common pro EU statements are: we will lose trade, and we will lose cooperation with the EU on matters of health and policing etc.

Imagine we leave and the EU puts up a trade barrier. Britain would reciprocate immediately. Sanctions against the UK would hurt the EU more than it would hurt us so they will not do it - it would not be in their interest.

Similarly cooperation in matters such as health, policing etc are of mutual benefit, so would continue.

However, intelligence sources have to be protected. Sharing all information with all EU member states with varying levels of professionalism risks credibility and security - being outside means we can select who we share information with.

Staying in the EU poses a major security risk. Until we can control our borders anyone settling in the EU has a legal right to settle here. We cannot control who is allowed free entry. It is time to leave while we still can.
