I feel completely let down over the forthcoming referendum.

As I understand it we are NOT electing a new government, we are giving the present government a mandate about our relationship with Europe.

I’d therefore hoped our Members of Parliament would tell us about the two course of action facing them - what they’ll have to do if the electorate tell them to Leave, and also what they’ll have to do if the electorate say Remain.

Then we might understand the importance of an In or Out vote. Instead we have descended into childish histrionics and personal insults.

The other reason I feel let down is that throughout all these claims and counterclaims about what MIGHT happen, I haven’t heard a word from our MEPs. I’d have thought they’d be in forefront of campaigning with their front-line insight into the workings of the EU.

Come to that, who are our MEPs?
