We who cross Aynam Road regularly are very aware of the number of vehicles travelling too fast. I know that there is a plan to have local volunteers use speed cameras periodically, but how about this for a permanent, 24-hour warning. Drivers crossing Miller Bridge find themselves on a one-way, two-lane road with a river on their right-hand side. So let’s have a large 30 sign painted in each lane after they’ve left the bridge and again before the zebra crossing just before Parr Street, and preferably again further down the road. It sounds like a very cheap 24-hour warning which will be a considerable help.
