We cannot be the only motorists who drive through Kendal who, first of all, are infuriated by the unlawful selfish drivers who refuse to turn left on to Sandes Avenue and just drive straight up through town to go and park at Santander or go right on and up to Allhallows Lane.
There is a sign outside the County Hall advising them what to do but they believe they’re above the law and ignore it!
The other selfish drivers come around the corner on to New Road and thrust their way in between law-abiding motorists who are forming a proper queue.
Maybe there are the odd ones who genuinely do not know the road goes down to one lane but so many drivers do it that they definitely aren’t all mistaken. The conscientious motorists are left fuming by these ignorant, selfish people.
We need a traffic island or more policing of the first area and a more obvious way of preventing the queue-jumping drivers on New Road.
Has anyone else experienced these actions? l would like to know and does anyone else think they should be stopped?
