The trustees, management committee and ‘In Bloom’ groups at Cumbria in Bloom would wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to Lord and Lady Cavendish and Lucy for all the planning, hard work they put in over the years to make the Holker Garden Festival one of the premier floral shows in the North West.
We would also like to thank the family for all their support they have given us over the years we have attended the show. Cumbria in Bloom wins its first certificate (Gold) at the last show!
Cumbria in Bloom are truly sorry to see its demise as it was a great event, for super people, in a wonderful location, organised by staff and volunteers who cared.
Another Cumbrian tradition gone but hopefully not forgotten! The family name will continue to be associated with Cumbria in Bloom through the new award - The Cavendish Trophy - which is being presented for the first time this year at the Awards Ceremony on September 8 at the North Lakes Hotel, Penrith.
