I have just read the 'Ferry tickets fury simmers' about the Windermere Ferry (Gazette, April 30).
I am flabbergasted that the county council has inflicted the non-user-friendly payment machines on locals and visitors alike.
The wretched machines are an obvious huge mistake, so please somebody in authority, make a decision, get rid of the things, and go back to the prior system, which worked.
We are fed up all round with bad decisions being made which affect us, and the deaf ears to our protests.
