THE Westmorland Football League entered into its penultimate weekend as everything was decided throughout all three divisions.

There was also a variety of different cup finals that were held at Kendal Town Football Club as the season drew ever closer to its conclusion.

In Westmorland League Division One, newly-crowned champions Pirelli lost 5-2 to Keswick at Fitz Park.

Keswick raced into a 2-0 lead as Richard Bannister and Jamie Little scored, however Pirelli battled back through Andy Lewis and Graham Robley.

However Keswick ran riot from that point as Bannister headed in his second before Steve Hilton and Alfie West completed the scoring.

In the other games Ibis drew 3-3 with Wetheriggs United where Alex Johnson, Jimmy Smith and Andy Mills found the net for Wetheriggs. Dan Jones scored a brace while Josh Ford was also on target for Ibis.

Appleby battled back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Kendal United at Castle Drive. Kendal raced into a 2-0 first half lead when Bailey Kenny and Matt Kennedy scored.

Appleby fought back in the second half with goals from James Addison-Adams and Jordan Crawford. In the final game Kendal County Reserves defeated Ambleside United 4-2 in the battle at the bottom of the division.

Division Two champions Endmoor ended their season in style with an emphatic 9-1 win at Wetheriggs United Reserves. Matthew Wilson scored four of the nine goals, while a brace from Adam Soulby and one each from Jordan Kenny, Alistair Wilson and Stefan Otway completed the rout.

Lamin Cham's brace and goals from Sam Oliver and Ryan Gate saw Castletown United run out 4-2 winners over Carleton Banks.

Josh Hilton's hat trick guided Keswick Reserves to an emphatic 4-1 win at Ullswater United, while on Tuesday night Keswick Reserves beat Braithwaite 5-1.

Kendal United Reserves won the Mason and Freeman Cup after a hard-fought 2-1 win over Castletown United. Sam Hunter opened the scoring in the first half before adding a second after 70 minutes. Sam Oliver pulled one back from the penalty spot, while Lamin Cham had also missed a penalty earlier in the game.

In Division Three Appleby Reserves lifted the Peter Daws Memorial Shield after an emphatic 6-0 win over Penrith Royal on Tuesday night. Neil Dean and Jack Overs scored a brace each before Morgan Fothergill and Andy Butt completed the scoring. Appleby also sealed promotion to Division Two after defeating Ambleside Town 2-1.

In the other games Sedbergh Wanderer Reserves drew 2-2 with Endmoor KGR Reserves while Lunesdale United defeated Ambleside United Reserves 4-2.
