Will World Heritage Site status benefit the Lake District? (Gazette, weekly poll, July 13).
With this new status, available houses in the Lake District will be advertised on the world stage, resulting in even fewer for living there and more for visitor use, either as second homes or holiday homes, unless there are controls - and- a change in Government thinking.
