The Westmorland CrossFit Centre in Kendal is holding the annual CrossFit games.
This five-week, five-workout competition is seeing 40 of the centre's members participate in the weekend sessions.
The games are held worldwide across CrossFit affiliates and Garage Gyms and will see Kendal-based members take part in workouts which are released on Friday mornings.
The participants then have until the Monday to submit their scores.
This Friday sees the games enter its third week. Upon completion of the games, participating athletes will get a world ranking.
The Westmorland CrossFit Centre at Aynam Road will also be holding a fundraising event in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.
The fundraiser will give people an opportunity to buy nearly new sports kit. All proceeds will go to the local Alzheimer’s Society.
Raffle prizes are also up for grabs, while there will be a cake stall and refreshments.
The fundraiser is between 6 and 8pm on Friday March 9.
