BEING persuaded like most reasonably responsible citizens that it is our duty to recycle, recycle, recycle I have a bag for plastics.
I pick up a wrapping from a bouquet of flowers, a lid from a plastic container of meat, a milk container, a plastic bag that held frozen peas or bubble wrap from a parcel. They are all plastic, but do they all go in the same recycling bag?
On the bins in the local car park, there is a bin for plastic bags and you are firmly told it is for nothing else; there is another with a long list of plastics which it does not want.
Where do I put my wrapping from the bouquet of flowers?
Can someone tell me how to get out of this muddle?
