Questions for the NIMBYs

First published in Opinion

They don't want wind turbines - "they spoil the view"; they don't want nuclear power stations - "too dangerous".

They don't want shale gas fracking - "earth tremors;" they don't want coal fuelled power stations - "too much CO2;" they don't want the Morecambe Bay barrage - "natterjack toads."

Can somebody tell me how these "not in my back yard" protesters believe we are to get the ever-increasing power requirements to our houses in the future?

Perhaps they are advocating a return to paraffin lamps and candles. Sorry I forgot - we are running out of oil!
