Football is a funny old game!, from the poorness of Saturday to the joy of Tuesday night,it has certainly been an interesting few days for all at Kendal Town FC.

Saturday Kendal never got going but they responded with the 2-0 win at Stocksbridge on Tuesday night.

The return of David Standley helped, as did the fact the team went back to passing the ball again which is their biggest strength.

The only sour note from Tuesday was the ref and the 3 sendings off 2 of which were Kendal players (Keiran Walmsley and Ian Kilford), The team had to defend their 2-0 lead with 9 men and defend it they did. The win sees them back as league leaders which is where i hope they stay come the end of the season.

This weekends the FA Cup again, Town are in 2nd qualifying cup action at home to Ossett Town. The biggest advantage in the cup is to get a home draw and Kendal have that which can only push them on.

Ossett are a team that always beat Kendal, but Town are due a result against them and hopefully they can get the result they need to progress.

I have been trying to promote the game on Facebook, but i am probably going to have to do more than that as attendances are rubbish.

Why a team like this can only get gates of 186-200 is beyond me?. All i ask is for those that read my blogs to either come and watch or spread the word about to family and friends!

The club with soo much more support can grow, so come down this weekend and see what you are missing!
