WELL it looks like winter is finally over, whether spring is here remains to be seen.
The ground is very dry now which is ideal for getting all the spring jobs done. We need to apply our fertiliser this week to try and grow some grass so the cows can go out to pasture again.
It all makes for a busy time and I feel like I could do with a couple more tractors and men or women to drive them. On top of this the head gardener presented me with a long list of must do jobs for the garden and house.
Our non-farming neighbour is a big wig in the national open garden scheme and persuaded us all to open our gardens to the public in July.
It is not a competition but it seems to me that Mrs T is not going to be left behind the other five people in the hamlet!
Speaking of competitions, will the daffodils be out for Easter? The daffodil show is always on Easter Sunday in the local pub. There are classes for every manner of daff and then they are auctioned for charity, we have never missed having enough daffs but they need to get their skates on to be ready.
