I am writing this tonight at 11.30pm after just arriving home from Stirling.
We have been at Scot Sheep. This is an event organised by the NSA (National Sheep Association) to promote sheep breeds.
There are loads of different sheep breeds and if you ever get a chance to go to one of these events you should. There are sheep of all sizes, shapes and colours and each breed has its place in farming.
We were there on behalf of the Rough Fell Sheep Breeders Association to promote our breed to other farmers. Our aim was to show why we think that the Rough Fell is the best hill breed to have.
It is also a chance for us to see what’s new in the way of machinery and equipment. Oh yes, and to find out more about the biggest waste of money the last Government imposed on sheep farmers, ‘EID’ (electronic Identification).
Lets not even go there, it’s bedtime. Good night.
