Milnthorpe Corinthians and Kendal County suffered mixed results on a busy weekend of Westmorland Football.

In the Semi finals of the WLFL Presidents Cup, Milnthorpe Corinthians crashed to defeat after they lost 5-1 to Haslingden. Corinthians who won the team of the month award for February opened the scoring after eight minutes through Elliott Bousfield.

However Haslingden battled back and went 2-1 up through a Tom Hulme brace. The win sealed in the second half through Michael Saunders and Alex White.

Kendal County picked up a crucial 2-1 home win over Croston Sports in West Lancashire League Division Two.

County who are now three points clear in the second automatic promotion place opened the scoring 75 minutes into the second half when Brody Wallace-Moffatt fired in an unstoppable drive that flew into the net.

Croston responded from the penalty spot a minute later as Daniel Cooper powered the ball home past Ryan Dodds in the Kendal goal.

Kendal sealed the win in the 90th minute when a deep cross into the box was headed into the top corner of the net by second half substitute Connor Walmsley.
