MILNTHORPE Corinthians lost 1-0 to Burscough Richmond in The ANC Senior Championship Competition.

The Cors qualified for this stage after their Invitation Trophy Final success from earlier in the season.

The hosts pushed a strong Burscough team, but Jordan Lorde's goal was enough to edge the visitors through into the next round of the competition.

In West Lancashire League Division One, Kendal County lost 3-0 at Stoneclough. The Claret and Blues, who played their first game for a number of weeks, were 1-0 down after 26 minutes when Stuart Parkinson scored.

Kendal competed and created some opportunities, but Stoneclough made it 2-0 after 55 minutes following a good goal by Joe McCann. The hosts from that point controlled the game before McCann scored his second and Stoneclough's third of the afternoon to round off a professional performance by the hosts.

In West Lancashire League Division Two, Kendal United lost 2-0 to relegation threatened Furness Rovers at Castle Drive.

Kendal’s best opportunity fell to Bailey Kenny who saw his goalbound effort cleared off the line in the first half. Furness otherwise largely restricted the hosts to half chances in an uneventful first half.

Furness controlled the second half and opened the scoring after 70 minutes when Tyler Wood scrambled the ball into the net. The visitors sealed the win on 85 minutes when Josh Jones converted a penalty kick for a result which lifts Furness off the bottom of the table. Kendal remain in seventh place.

Gary Campbell’s brace, an own goal and a solitary strike by Adam Zyda eased Lytham Town Reserves to a 4-1 home win over Milnthorpe Corinthians Reserves in West Lancashire League Division Three. Will Booth scored the consolation for Corinthians.
